Strong support for non-standard tuplets
Creating non-standard tuplets seems to be at best cumbersome.
I'm arranging the jazz standard Footprints by Wayne Shorter, and need to create 5:3 tuplets for a line. See attached screenshot. That is, five quarter notes should fall within half of the measure, but upon selecting them and go for Add->Tuplets->Other..., I get "No note or rest selected: [...]".
The solution, of which none I tried yet, appears as workarounds. See for instance these posts:

Could support for non-standard tuplets be added? I would like functionality where I 1) select the notes; and 2) Enter the tuplets values (i.e, N:M).

Well, How to create nonstandard tuplets is describing how to to it, but here you don't need those tricks at all, as the base duration is a dotted quarter (half of 3/4), so a duration that can get picked without resorting to tricks.
So select a dotted quartes, 4,., then Ctrl+5, for a regular 5-let (5*8th). Or a custom one, 10/3, then make 5 quarters from the 10 8th

Slight correction - the time signature is 6/4, so half the measure is a dotted half, not a dotted quarter. Meaning, the sequence is "6 . Ctrl+5". But indeed, nothing custom needed, this is just a standard quintuplet.

Outch, of course
