Multimeasure rest without number?
Is there a way to remove the number of measures from the multimeasure rest notation? I'm doing something for church and I am using a multimeasure rest to indicate that the priest or deacon will be saying something during that undefined period. Thanks.

Best way I can think right now would be to create an opaque white graphic and paste it over the number. Or, for that matter, just grab an image of the rest, then make the rest & number invisible but the image back in.

Thanks. That's a fairly simple workaround.
But this is not really a multimeasure rest, so why not write it properly. It's an unmeasured break, so put a bar with the legend "senza misura", and add a note explaining what is going on. This saves you having to explain it to the choir.

Hmmm. How do I do that? (Clearly, I'm fairly new at MuseScore.)

To add text, select the rest currently in the measure and use Ctrl+T to add staff text (or use the Text palette). Maybe put a fermata over it to indicate it's of arbitrary length. If you attach your score, we can see what else is going on and advise better.
