This is just an odd circumstance. I took a four-year-old backup file and dropped the first and last characters in the name, so by name the OS see's this as a MuseScore file. This has worked in the past when the primary file has corrupted. I only did this as I wasn't sure that actually had this file anymore. It seems to edit fine and all no problems there. I went to update the score information and got a pretty blank widget. Before I add more to this should I copy and paste it into a new file? Once in a while, I put a note in the score info. Like I said no bigge. Thanks again,
Ted

This is normal - you're currently viewing the part, and the part name is the only unique property you can set. Just go back to the main score tab to set other properties.
