changing the length of measures
The first 6 measures of my 8 bar score look great, but the next 2, going to a second line, are stretched out. How can I condense the measures?

re you say8ing your score is only eight measures long, and you want it split as 6+2, with the second system shortenered? That would be pretty unusual - I think most 8 bar scores would be better off 4+4 (or very possible 3+5 or 5+3 depending on the rhythms). So it's probably best to simply add a system break (e.g., select measure, hit Enter) after four measures. But if you really do prefer the 2 measures and wish to leave them non-justified, you can simply turn up the "Last system fill threshold" in Format / Style / Page to 100%. Or use the horizontal frame as suggested, which does give more control since you can size it.
