Single-Note Hairpins/Messa di Voce
I have been digging through the forums, but please forgive me if I missed something.
MuseScore has been such an incredible and powerful tool, but an issue I keep running into is the inability to easily add single-note hairpins that auto-scale to their attached note. From transcribing Schumann (Fantasiestucke Op. 73) to engraving some commissions by contemporary composers, they often like to notate this kind of "swell" on a single note when writing for woodwinds. The best solution I have found, without messing with hidden voices, is to manually add both a crescendo and a descrendo and then eyeball the sizes to try to make it look acceptable. I would think, with no programming background, that this could be an easy thing to add to the dynamics palette. Would this be possible?

You can add "Messa di voce" symbol from Master palette (it is under Symbols - Dynamics).
Or, I think better, You can select note, add crescendo, select endpoint, Shift + Left move it left, select note again, add diminuendo, select startpoint, Shift + Right to move it right, and they will connect together automagically.
(When You add cresc / dim, endpoint is already selected, so after adding cresc, you can Shift + Left directly)
