Online playback not editing/registering a repeat

• Jun 2, 2021 - 22:39

Despite trying numerous times to make the online playback of my newest piece, "Super Snow Days," to play the repeat like I originally intended, the piece's online version seemingly refuses to play the repeat through Musescore's audio; alternatively, the jump from end to start repeat is displayed, but the audio disregards it and moves forward. Speaking of audio, I uploaded this piece directly through my Musescore desktop app so I could play the MDL (Musescore Drum Line) audio extension. I know that I've made at least 7 attempts to correct this issue.

Also, please note that when I initially uploaded this piece (through Musescore.exe), I accidentally left the "play repeats" setting off. That said, I presume that the playback is trying to stick with the original version of this piece, disregarding any updates I attempt to make. Moreover, this is the first time I've uploaded a piece with custom audio, so I appreciate any assistance you may have! :D

But also note that if you're uploading your audio together with your score from within the program, the program will perform a local export to mp3 to generate that audio. And local exports do honor the "play repeats" button state, so make sure to turn that on if you want the playback online to follow the repeats.

Ok... so would I need to discuss this in the "Improving Musescore.com" group, or somewhere else?

I was considering to repost this issue on Musescore.com, but I wasn't sure where exactly. I mean, this does seem to be a bug...

Speaking of Musescore.org, I honestly wish that there were an easier, more direct method of accessing this site, other than searching Musescore.org on Google (or anywhere else).

Anyway, please let me know where on Musescore.com should I share this. (Thanks in advance!)

I was just using Google as an example (I meant that I needed to type "Musescore.org" into my browser the same way you do).

To rephrase what I said in an eariler comment, I'd appreciate a section in Musescore's sidebar (next to your profile picture) that says "Forum," directing to the forum section of Musescore.org.

It's nothing too bothersome for me, but I believe this addition would improve Musescore's website navigation.

Anyway, I'll post on that group. Thanks!
