program hangs after file open from explorer while having the file open dialog open

I rather often run into this trap: I want to open a file from the file open dialog.
I don't find it, so start the Windows explorer and then open the file from there (while having left the file open dialog open).
And bang: Windows starts a 2nd instance of the program, telling me that the first one has stopped to work.

I don't know of this is a problem of MuseScore or finally of Windows...
Maybe one solution could be to allow only one instance of MuseScore?
