ISO "fixer" on a brass band composition
Hello,
I am an amateur composer who previously worked for years in rock bands. I cannot read music though I am figuring out Musescore. I started composing for classical music during the pandemic.
I am working on a brass band piece. It is about six minutes long. I composed it on a DAW and have transferred it to Musescore. There are certain parts beyond my ken that I would like help with. For example:
-There are a lot of double sharps (like F##) and I'm wondering if there is a way around this.
-There are certain sections with dubious harmonies that I am having a hard time smoothing out.
These are probably stupid questions to the advanced musicians reading this, and if you think so then please ignore this post.
Otherwise, if you'd be interested in somehow working together on this, let me know.

I should mention that the piece is written with lower-level musicians in mind, and I also would like to know if any parts of the piece are too complicated for music grades 1-2.

You can select them (for example via right-click > Select > More...) and then use the shortcut J to cycle through alternative spellings for them.

Thank you. I'm trying that, and it seems to just create a totally new note. Control J?

Never mind, it's working now. THANK YOU
