Request to lock the score
Several times in the past years on the French forum the request has been made to be able to lock the scores so that -for example- the choristers of a group can work with without changing -for example- the pitch of a note, etc...
I thought it was no big deal, just don't save the changes and the next time you open the program you'll find the original score.
But I've just changed my computer and got a hybrid with a screen that detaches into a tablet : ideal for putting on a music stand. But in rehearsal, to change page with the touch screen (no time to aim well) the staves or the touched notes move, it is unusable !
For the moment I save each score as a pdf file to be used for playback during my rehearsals.
I would prefer to stay on Musescore !
Is it possible for MS4 to have a lock like with word processors or other programs ((read only, modification blocked on the whole partition, just by a button) ? Thanks

Thank you for your reply and all those links I had not found. I also translated the ones from #311604. An easy lock like the ctrl+shift+L shortcut does would be what suits me for the repetition time, easy to remove (too easy at the moment !) but with a button (like pan or loop) : on the detached screen in touch tablet mode there is only an alphanumeric virtual keyboard, not the other keys (up... arrows)...The two-finger swipe has a zooming effect while I set it to 84% to be close to a full screen A4.... Being on Linux I will try the read permissions on copies of the files, put in a separate folder as I already do for pdf's, but that also requires extra preparation. Each request is different, no single solution !

Ctrl+Shift+L is the shortcut to lock the score already. Problem is that with #311604: Locked score unlocks by mouse interactions this is rather pointless
