lost progress

i tried save a part of a project i had just finished. when i hit save, musescore froze, then crashed. i reopened musescore, and luckily my progress was still there. i tried to listen to it, and then it froze again. i closed and reopened musescore AGAIN, and my progress was gone. i tried closing and reopening the file, but it was still not there.
