Odd reporting in status line

Suppose we have a score with several staves. I select a certain entire measure in one of those staves only.

In the status line, the item End Beat shows the beat position of the last symbol (note or rest) in that measure in any staff.

The status line in this case announces the information as being for a "range selection", but its scope is not the actual scope of the selection.

Seems odd.
