Unwanted Rests
I'm arranging a piece of music with four voices (SATB) and, of course, I want the voices coincide with MuseScore's voice selection. When I'm fine with the treble clef - simply selecting Voice 1 then Voice 2, however, when I get to the bass clef, the program defaults back to Voice 1. I changed it to voice 3, then merrily went along to voice 4. Of course, Voice 1 is still there - a full sixteen measures of rests, which sounds great, but looks awful. I know there is a way to 'hide' the rests, but I can't find it in the handbook.
Can somebody help me, please?

Don't use voice 3 and 4 for Tenor/Bass, use voice 1 and 2, see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/voices
Always and on every staff start with voice 1. Voice 1-4 have no relation to the human voices Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass...
