Hammer-ons, Pull-offs, etc.

I did a quick search here and didn't find anything definitive regarding hammer-ons and pull-offs. Is this a feature that has been implemented, or any suggestions as to how to accomplish these? Thanks.

Hi Paul,

Regarding notation:

A slur suffices for either a hammer-on or pull-off in classical guitar notation and in other styles. The direction of the pitch sufficiently informs the reader ... so no other symbol is needed to explicitly indicate hammer on vs. pull-off.

If you're looking for the relatively popular like HO / PO convention—sometimes used in folk or popular guitar notation— there's currently no option to automatically apply those in MuseScore 3.6.2 , but you can add staff text objects, and they copy/paste well.

Regarding playback:

Are your requesting more realistic playback via an automatic softening of the amplitude and a thinning of timbre, a characteristic produced by a real world hammer-on or pull-off? If so, hopefully that's coming in MuseScore 4.0's sound library.

The problem is if you have a chord and want a middle note of that chord to slur, by default the slur doesn't apply to the note you currently have selected, seems to use the top note of the chord ... You can reposition it but it would be nice if it just applied it to the note you had selected (i.e. source and target note)
