closing itself down

I am running version 3.3.4.9134, 7ea61d9 but I think this problem started on a bit earlier one.
Whenever I begin to write a new piece having gone through all the initial steps to 'finish' Musescore shuts itself down. When I log in again it recovers at least most of what I had written but this is very annoying and can be timeconsuming, not to mention just wrong! Please advise.
