Port Audio doesn't display audio drivers (Mac M1)

I am on a M1 Macbook Air. I have no options in any of the Port Audio dropdown menus. I referred to this post (https://musescore.org/en/node/96811) and other forum posts on this subject but nothing so far has worked. I have tried resetting preferences, starting my computer in safemode, reinstalling musescore, and checked for the Native Instruments Agents and didn't see them. Apparently the M1 Mac already does a PRAM reset when it reboots so that's not the solution. I also can't access the Synthesizer Window. I'm not using any midi devices or bluetooth speakers. I'm racking my brain here and I don't know what to do, any and all help is greatly appreciated.
