Confused about Musescore Drumline
So I'm trying to download Musescore Drumline and I followed the tutorial on the website, but keep getting the error of "Cannot import extension on read-only storage." I'm super confused on what this means and how to fix it. I don't wanna mess anything up so I'm coming to here.
This is windows 11 btw.

Is this a new W11 computer, or an updated one? The place you are trying to download to has a read only permission. Which can be changed in Properties for the drive.
Beware that MDL is sfz files that will make your MuseScore take a long time to start.

This is a new win11 laptop, and the properties don't say read only, which is the thing I'm confused about.

What model laptop? Looks almost like Windows in S mode. Where did you get MuseScore?

It's an Acer Nitro 5, and I got musescore from the official website. And it's not in s mode, since I'm using Opera GX and s mode makes you use edge.

I asked because your properties window doesn't look even close to the properties window on my W11 laptop.
Anyhow, I think you should spend some time either on the Asus site or some Microsoft site to see how to adjust permissions. Whatever the window says now isn't quite correct.
I'm not sure where MuseScore extensions download from. If it is through a browser maybe your antivirus is the problem.

Update: I fixed it! Just had to revert to factory settings and make sure that it was actually putting the extension in the right place. I think the default message for if it can't find a file path is to say that it's ready-only, but it is fixed now!
