Is there a way to convert a song to an instrument?
I have Suicide is Painless, aka the theme from MASH, and it's only for Trumpet, so I decided to put the Trumpet version onto MuseScore, and I want to know if I can convert the instrument from Trumpet to trombone, without having to do it manually. The file of the trumpet version is attached, in case anyone wants to see what I have to work with.

Yes you can. Change the clef to bass clef and then transpose the instrument to Bb. The trombone is a "C" inst.
You realize that the trumpet is a soprano instrument and the trombone is a tenor inst. The trombone will be lower.

Thanks.
And if you mean you want to change the *playback* sound, you can do that either in the Mixer (see Display menu) or in Staff Properties (right click an empty spot in the staff).
