MacBook download- not available in my country
Hi all,
I’m very new to the program and recently made an account as I’d like to create my own scores
I tried to do this on my mobile app but it said i needed the desktop version to do it
So I tried to install it on my MacBook, and when I moved the MuseScore logo into my applications app, a pop-up saying ‘this program isn’t available in your country’. I live in the UK!
I recognise the MuseScore app is compatible with macOS Catalina, and I have the version after catalina (macOS bigsur) - could this be why I’m unable to download onto my MacBook?
If that’s the case(and even if it isn’t), what can I do to get the app? MacOS Catalina is older so it’d be a little frustrating if I can’t get the program (after I also paid to go pro) simply because I have a newer macOS
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Make sure you're not trying to install the mobile player application from .com; but the actual notation software available from this very site.
Also note that the notation software is 100% free and does not require an account or subscription of the commercial score sharing platform with the same name.

hi thank you for your suggestion and help,
I've worked out where I went wrong (it's very silly actually)- When moving the musescore logo into the application logo I thought It meant you needed to move it to the App Store to download it but I literally just needed to move it to the icon next to the musescore logo (which is the application folder)
It went smoothly after I tried it!!
Welcome to the musescore.org support forum.
The free, open source MuseScore desktop score writer/editor is available here:

It is the full-featured version and requires no payment for "extras".
