Different layout when file is reopened
Hello!
I have this issue, I created a project on musescore (in 2020) which does not contain only scores or music symbols (meaning it also includes a lot of texts and shapes, stuff put in a rather improvised way in order to combine them with music symbols etc).
The problem is that when I reopened it to edit some parts everything was messed up, like the non musical symbols (I sometimes created combining dashes for example) where all over the place, overlapping with texts and musical symbols.
So now I have to either do it all over again or try to correct it, which is almost as if I was doing it all over again.
I want to say that I am not sure if this is an issue of older-newer version, as I am pretty sure that It happened almost right after I made it and saved it for the first time. It's just that I had already exported it in pdf so at that point I didn't bother so much.
Do you have any ideas about how I could possibly fix it?

It very much depends on in which version you created the score and in which version you're trying to reopen it. And then it depends on how much tricks you used (the rather improvised way) to position things instead of using the default/recommended approaches for them. Which might now indeed backfire as default positions for elements got tweaked/improved.
Feel free to share such an original score file and the PDF of how it was supposed to look to see if we can come up with ways that are less prone to relayouts.
