Unfortunately, the Linux container feature of ChromeOS does not support USB devices other than drives and a handful of others. Every once in a while I hear rumors of additional USB device support coming, but it's always accompanied by cautions that the work is still very experimental and there are difficult security (?) problems to solve regarding giving Linux access to USB on a Chromebook. So I'm not holding my breath. But I am hopeful that someday Google will support it.
