Mystery mark above stave
Hi, I am working on the attached bit of banjo tab for a student- there is a tiny greyed out mark above the anacrusis bar which looks like a little cedilla or wave- any ideas what it is and where it care from please...and how to get rid of it! Thanks

It a little minus indicating that bar has less duration than what the time signature indicates. If it had more, you'd see a '+' instead. These markings do not show up in exports (PDF, print, images).
But if you so wish you can disable them in View → Mark Irregular Measures
