General Problems with Musescore 4 (Ongoing)
Introduction
Musescore 4 came out rather recently and, though there are many improvements to the program (the addition of Audio FX is one of the most notable ones I've seen), there quite a few things that I believe are either oversights or straight-up worse than the previous version (Musescore 3). I will go over some of these things in this post.
The Mixer and Muse Sounds
The Mixer is one of the most useful features in the History of Musescore. In Musescore 4, we get the addition of Muse Effects (often referred to as MuseFX), something that allows Musescore to be more comparable to other Sound Production programs such as FL Studio. Aside from that, we also have the addition of the Sound option, a button that has a dropdown menu with three suboptions:
A redundant button with the sound you currently have enabled (does nothing) The Muse Sounds option, which has further options if you have downloaded Muse Sounds from the Muse Hub The SoundFonts option, where you can use the General Musescore SoundFont or others you have downloaded
Updates will be added whenever I decide to get around to them.
