Musescore 4 Cursor Movement

With Version 3, I can highlight a note, add a slur, press the Esc key, then the note is still highlighted, and then I can just move the arrow key to the next note. With version 4, seems after you add a slur and press Esc, the note is no longer highlighted, and you need to use the mouse to highlight the next note. Similarly, previously, I can add a finger number, then use Alt+> to move to the next note for adding finger numbers. This is not working either. Would appreciate anyone who can help. I tried to import the shortcuts from Version 3 but still not working. Many thanks in advance.
