Noisy reproduction while editing in M4
Hello. M4 is practically unusable for me. When is played a score with more than 3-4 instruments, it makes noises and delays in the execution. It's a pity because I'll have to stick with M3, even though this new version (4.0.0.) has much better sound.
Perhaps what I did (without success...) will help to analyze the problem:
- I uninstalled the app (even the MuseHub) and reinstalled it.
- I increased the "Buffer size" to 4096.
- In the OS, Sound Properties I tried various formats (eg 24/16 bits; 192/44 KHz, etc.)
- Checked OK the "Exclusive use ..." option
- (Strange) When I EXPORT the score to mp3, it plays perfectly. The problem only occurs when editing the work.
The HW setup is:
- Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4300M CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.59 GHz
- 16.0GB (15.7GB)
- OS 64 bits, x64 based processor
-Windows 10 Pro
(Sorry for my english, I'm not a US/GB native)

In the buffer size window, make sure that "System Default" is not chosen for playback.
Years ago, I broke the headphone/mic jack on an old laptop that I had. I bought a $20 usb audio interface to that work. Recently I dug it out and have found that it makes playback work much better on my underpowered computers.

Thank you very much for your advice, but it did not improve (I attach a couple of images). Thinking about what you said, I tried a pair of USB headphones (which I had already used with M3 without problems) and it turned out worse. So, I went back to the old 3.5mm jack.
