Soundfonts and custom instruments not working

Hi all,
thanks for MuseScore4. So far it looks promising and I am enjoying it a lot. I have 2 problems atm where you can maybe help me:

1) Choosing the sound of an electic guitar
In MuseScore 3 I was able to choose the sound of a guitar (e.g. Clean, Overdriven, Distorted. etc.). It was done from the Mixer. How can i do that in MuseScore 4? Changing the instrument in this case is not an option unfortunately.

2) Custom instrument
I created a custom Keyboard which had 4 different sounds in MuseScore3 (Piano, Rhodes, Organ, Synth Pad) by fiddling with the instruments.xml. The good: MuseScore4 also recognizes this custom instrument and I am able to select it. The bad: the piano will not show up in the new Mixer leaving we with an unhearable track. As all my arrangements build up on this custom piano, I am unable to hear / playback anything. (additionally I would want to also then select the actual sound similar to how it is done for guitar mentioned in 1).

Can anybody help me with this please?

I am having a similar problem. I'm from colombia, and I make definitions for some colombian plucked strings. Now, old score not working on MuseScore 4. SO, any body knows how to add this colombian instruments to the instruments default list of MuseScore?
