I tried running MS4 on an ubuntu PC in a virtual Windows environment with 4GB and it worked OK. You can always give it a go and uninstall if it doesn't suit you.

MS4 on my HP THIN CLIENT 4-core (with 32Gb RAM) running Ubuntu 20.04 KDE Plasma is decidedly sluggish, to the point of frustration. Yes, I'm asking quite a bit of the thin client hardware... But MS3 works fine even with Chromium & Thunderbird also running. FWIW.
