odd behavior with replace instrument in MS 4

I imported the attached MIDI file. The instrument names are weird, so I click on the first one, click replace instrument, string-bowed, Violin, OK, apply, and all looks good. Down arrow to the 2nd instrument, click replace instrument, string-bowed, Violin, OK, apply, and all looks good again. Down arrow, click replace instrument, string-bowed, Viola, OK, apply, and the first violin changes to alto clef!

Up arrow to the top line, repeat what I did before and the 1st violin looks good again. Now down to the bottom line, click replace instrument, string-bowed, Violincello, OK, apply, and the top line changes to bass clef!

Go back and repair the top line to Violin and all is good.
