Trouble with keyboard commands - Advance Cursor by Duration function during chord symbol entry
Hi All:
Need some assistance please.
Platform: High Performance PC laptop with Win 10 Pro & another with Win11 Home (full).
Application: MS-3 and MS-4
Trying to transcribe with MS-4 (having done this previously many times in MS-3).
Trying to enter the chord symbols for the song and needing to place a chord where there is no 'noted' beat.
It appears that the "Advance Cursor by duration" function is not available in the new version (MS-4). the "Advance Cursor" functions do appear in the Edit/Preferences/Shortcuts list, but do not appear to actually function. I hope this is another case where I have missed something.
I have attached 2 small screen shots. Shot 1 shows how I added a 2nd voice (invisible) to the measure and filled it with 1/4 note rests to give myself a spot to put the G7#5 chord symbol. Shot 2 shows where I need to put a D7 chord symbol one 1/4 note after the Am7 chord symbol. As the Am7 is a dotted 1/4 note the next noted beat is the final 1/8th note of the measture - 1/8th note too far along the measure. I could create an additional voice, make it invisible and fill it with 1/4 note rests again, but I really liked the Ctrl-(1-9 ) function that was in MS-3.
Can anyone enlighten me as to what the status of the "Advance Cursor by duration" function is?
Thank-you,
Cliff

Indeed doesn't work
The entire shortcut stuff is a real bad mess
As per https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/pull/15081 this got fixed though? In the nightly builds at least?
