Difficulty fitting notes into measures
Hello,
I want to transcribe some sheet music into a musescore file but struggle to do so. I have attached an image of what I want to transcribe.
Basically, I can't get musescore to input the number of notes according to how it is laid out in the sheet music. For instance the first measure has four notes for the violin, and one rest sign for the bass. Musescore inputs two rest signs for the bass. Things start to get particularly hairy for the next measure. That measure has twelve notes for the bass, but only three for the violin. I can join measures to have twelve notes in the bass section, but then I automatically have more than three notes in the violin section.
I suppose this has to do with the piece's time signature, but I don't know how to fix it.

Score needed, but 4 16th notes in treble and one quarter rest in bass clef should be possible in a pickup measure like this and even the default. In the next measure a dotted half plus 2 8th notes perfectly match the 8 8th chords

Thank you, this solved it. I used a pick up measure for the first one!
