Manually adjust note spacing in Musescore 4?
I am typesetting an organ piece that occasionally calls for 3 voices in the upper manual part. The automatic placement results in overlapping note stems that look completely confusing. I'd like to manually adjust the position of individual notes to fix this issue when it crops up, but I can't find a way to do that for any given note as a whole (that is, I can adjust the head and stem positions in the properties panel, but not beams.)
For example, in image 1 below, the C in the middle voice is actually input as a quarter, but the overlapping stems make it look like an eighth note that's part of the voice below - you can see the actual voicing from image 2 where the notes are color-coded by voice part. Ideally I would like to adjust the F in the lower voice a bit to the left, which would be clearer and also more visually pleasing since it would make the upper and lower eighth groupings align, but without control over the beam length this doesn't work (see image 3). I've tried to find a workaround by tinkering with the voicing/chord placement/stem direction, but no luck so far - any thoughts?

It is possible to adjust chord positions in MS4:

Aha, thank you! Straightforward after all, just a menu level deeper than I was expecting.

Alt/Option drag works too, but only for altering the distance beyond the default location.
Worked this was in MS3 as well.

Oh that's a handy tip that's new to me, thanks!

Glad that worked for you. And I've always wondered why Alt/Option drag doesn't allow altering the distance to less than the default location.
