MuseScore running terribly slow

Hi,
I'm orchestrating a piece from Ravel which has only 40 measures, however, that is apparently already too much for MuseScore because I have to wait 1-2 seconds for a note to be entered, sometimes the program is freezing for 5-10 seconds and scrolling through the score is like looking at a diaporama.
It's supposed to be a professional score for an orchestra, I have to return it in time, but working in these conditions starts to greatly increase the working time...

Specs:
- AMD Ryzen 7 1800X Eight-Core Processor
- 16Go RAM
And I'm obviously on Musescore 4.0.1
