How to insert lyrics

With my recently-installed MuseScore 4, it seems that i cannot "cut & paste" lyrics as before. With earlier versions, we can save lots efforts by following the below step as set out in How to insert lyrics (https://musescore.org/en/node/21522):

Press and hold Ctrl+V. Press the "V" in succession: every time you press "V" will release a syllable;

Now every time i press Ctrl+V, it repeatedly pastes the same first word of the lyrics at the same note. Have i missed anything or is there a setting to enable this feature?
