MuseScore 4.0.1 on Mac M1 Ventura 13.2.1 crashes upon opening or creating score
I have been using MuseScore 4.0.1 with no issues for the past few weeks and then today I tried opening MuseScore 4 and it crashed so I reset the MuseScore preferences. Now I am unable to open or create any new scores. However, I can still right-click on the application from finder and select a recent score and it will open.
I really need to be able to create scores and open older scores that are not in my recent score list in the finder. Here is a link to the crash reports I get every time I attempt to open or create a score: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1DWN0ssTRXcfIuUAP7o3E0gLDsn0aozEuvwB…

Hmm, if opening a recent score works, it should also work to simply find other scores in Finder and double-click them to open. But as for new scores not working, at what point does it crash, exactly? also, how did you reset preferences? If you only did it from the actual preferences dialog, try instead a full Help / Revert to factory settings.

Thanks for getting back to me Marc. All of a sudden everything seems to work fine now!
All I have changed since yesterday was I made a few edits to one of my recent scores and then saved it. I don't know if this was the reason it fixed itself or not but I am glad nonetheless.
To answer your questions I reset through the preferences menu with the button labeled "Reset preferences". After pressing the new score button, MuseScore opened no new windows and my mac prompted me with the crash report dialogue. Still, I have no idea why the issue occurred in the first place, or why it fixed itself.
