mid-repeat voltas

Is there a way to make voltas work in the middle of the repeat like this? I have a piece with two nearly-identical verses, but I want the harmony to change for a portion of the second. Can I use the voltas or is there another way without just rewriting the whole thing out?

(I have a different way that makes sense visually by altering the note appearance, but I would like the playback to match)
