From tuplet back to a simple note
How can I remove the tuplet so that the note becomes a simple say quarter note. Deleting the tuplet symbol itself (the number) will remove the whole quarter note. What I tried: using the duration editor plugin: it's broken (nothing appears on Linux!).

Yes, do so an write the quarter note again!
Duration Editor is not broken in MU3.6. If you have lots of triplets to fix consider doing it in MU3.6. But Duration Editor changes a triplet of eight notes to 3 regular eight notes. Maybe that's not what you want.
