Older MuseScore File Has Garbled Chord Symbols - Unable to Update
Really enjoying the update to Musescore 4. Great job.
I was working to update some very old charts. Not sure what version of Musescore was used to make them. Overall, they upgrade well, but the chord symbols are garbled. That would matter so much except that when I attempt to update the symbols, they are still garbled.
Best explained by the attached image file.
I tried deleting each chord symbol and adding back a new one, but still get the same result.
Any thoughts as to what is causing this or how to work around?
Thanks,
Ken

If you post an actual score, perhaps someone can figure this out.

That score doesn't have any chord symbols
And if I add some, they do look like they should

My mistake. Original version attached.

You're using a custom "cchords_rb.xml". Don't do that but use the Jazz style option

Jojo,
Thanks for the explanation. I had been applying a custom style template that specified chords_jazz.xml, but that was not sufficient. Once I first applied the chords_jazz.xml file, then the custom template, chords are now readable.
Thanks for your help.
