How to inserting a Tie (Possible Voice)
Would anyone be able to help me understand how to enter second the tie A into musecore. The signature beat is 3/8.
The second issue is voice notes overlapping. If these aren't voices could someone help in understanding how am I supposed to be entering them?
(Is the correct solution just double clicking the note and moving it with the arrow?

The picture shows a slur, not a tie. Ties and slurs may look alike, but they are completely different things. See Slur in the Handbook. And yes, that example uses multiple voices. See Voices .

Thanks for the clarification. I am very new to notation and just learning to transcribe for my 4 year old who uses the app to listen to the left and right hands separately.
I'll try using voice with the slur and see how it looks.

What you have there ARE slurs, not ties. Perhaps this will help: http://www.musicreadingsavant.com/whats-the-difference-between-ties-and…
I searched "difference slur, tie". There are many sites.

I'm not sure what the slash on the quarter note indicates and not sure how to write this in musescore.

It's called a grace note, entered using the palette of that name.
