Musescore 4.0.2 closes soon after opening a score since Windows updates
Trying to open any score, or create a new one, now causes 4.0.2 to crash. It worked fine a couple of days ago and nothing has changed since then other than Windows updates so I assume something in the audio subsystem has changed and is causing Musescore to crash. Reading similar problems from earlier versions it seems the audio output device was usually involved.
Given audio playback is a secondary function it would be useful to have an option to run Musescore with audio disabled to avoid the whole functionality being lost in response to an audio issue. Is there any workaround for these sorts of issues until it is resolved (presumably) in an update?

Managed to fix this by fully re-installing everything (which made no difference initially) and then resetting all preferences. Logs seemed to indicate getting in to loop conditions setting up various UI parameters so the issue may have been unrelated to Windows Updates and audio subsystem and was just coincidentally caused by Musescore getting its UI parameters screwed up somehow.
