Custom tuplets... even more custom?
Is there a possibility for even more custom tuplets, such as shown below? (This is in 3/4 time)
I can't make a single note value that's worth two and a half beats, so it's impossible to create a tuplet like this.
I think selecting multiple notes/rests together should create a tuplet based on the value of those combined?

"I can't make a single note value that's worth two and a half beats".
No, but you can make a rest of that length. in the form of a 5/8 measure whole-bar rest.
I couldn't work out how to make a 14-let in 4.x so I made a 7-let, entered the notes, made the 7 invisible and added in "14".

Thank you!
Or try the plugin: https://musescore.org/en/project/advanced-tuplets
(I have not tried it myself)

Tried it. I get "Error: Tuplet extends across measures".

It's not my plugin, and I could not figure out how to contact the author XiaoMigros on GitHub. Can you do it?
EDIT: Never mind. I contacted XiaoMigros via the musescore forum

Can you send me the context? (So, what you input into the plugin and the section of the score)

Well, see the 14tuplet.mscz (MU4) and/or image above , and/or wait for details from underquark. I'm only the messenger.

I just did some more experimenting and the plugin does not work in a specific situation - if you select the first measure and it contains only a whole-measure rest. It works if you select a measure other than the first measure and it works if you select a note or other rest (including a whole-note rest) in the first measure.
This happened when I only had a piano. It happened when I added flute. Then when I added a trumpet I was able to add a tuplet to its first measure just fine. Puzzling.

Interesting, but thanks for letting me know! I'll see if I can find an underlying issue causing this.

FWIW: I had no trouble creating the 14-triplet in measure 1 after selecting the half note & eight note rest as shown in measure 2. I asked for 14 16ths in the space of 5/8 and the result was perfect.

Fun fact to know: if I open the file again I get an error message:
Measure 1, staff 1 incomplete. Expected: 3/4; Found: 103/112
but if you look at measure properties it says 3/4!! The system itself looks confused...

yeah, it seems that musescore simply doesnt like creating such tuplets and they might corrupt the file. this isnt something i can fix on my end, unfortunately

Hello! Ive been using your plugin Advanced tuplets but my file has gotten corrupt. and even some bars have messed up by saying the voices are too long or incomplete. Could you help me with it?

Hi! I'm sorry to hear that the plugin has caused corruption, but unfortunately this is an issue on MuseScore's end and not that of the plugin. Some complicated tuplets are misinterpreted by MuseScore's tuplet algorithm, leading to mistakes in the score.
To fix corrupted sections, the method I find fastest is to clear what's written in the staff's measure and re-enter it.
