I have just updated Musescore to 4.1 and receive the warning from Norton that it does not have a valid digital signature.

I can't read your document attachment, but, have you updated your Norton database?

Thanks but yes it is up to date and I have just checked for updates again. The attachment is the standard Norton warning. I have attached the warning as a jpeg.

Musescore 3 opens fine.

I had a similar problem with 4.1 beta see https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/issues/18154. But I told Norton to ignore the problem and it hasn't occurred again, even with 4.1.1. I think it is just Norton being paranoid. Perhaps you could add your experience to that Github issue.
The same issue got reported here: https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/issues/18154
Unfortunately, we are very unsure what to do about this, since we do give the app a valid signature.

It is absolutely fine now. The only thing I did was to open Musescore 3, close it, and try to open Musecscore 4 some time later. No idea why that should solve it.
