Bridging a beam over a rest does not work.
Following feature - as depicted in the attached picture - is applicable in 3.6.
It does not work in latest 4 version.

Can you attach here the *.mscz file you are having problems with?

Ok.
This does make a progress.
But still, Musescore 4.1.1 and Musescore 3.6.2 behave differently.
The attach PNG shows an extended phrase the exemplifies this.
While now I manage to place a beam over the rest in 4.1.1, I do not get along with placing the beam over the 2 preceding eights, as expected in the common fashion.
What did I miss here?
Thanks
Hillel.

You should be able to change the two flags the same way as you did it with the rest, select and click AUTO from the palette. Additionally you may check the Time signature properties.

Ok.
Thanks for your advice.
Eventually - it works for me as expected.
Though - one must admit that it is not very intuitive.
AUTO is a kind of a generic option.
I would expect to have an explicit control on that feature.
Sadly - none of the proposed "beam properties" would fit.
Thanks again.
Hillel.
Select one or more notes and/or rests in the score and click the desired symbol in the Beam Properties palette.
