Does someone know a short cut for placing tuplets on a score without expanding or shrinking the measure?

Without expanding or shrinking the measure:
Result: the measure neither expands nor shrinks.

Read the Handbook section about Tuplets, from start to finish:

Okay...
1. Open a score.
2. Click into the first bar (measure).
3. Press Enter.
That single bar (measure) will occupy the entire width of the page. (See my picture posted above.)
That bar will neither expand nor shrink when you place tuplets (or any notes) into it.
