Playback volume when clicking on a note
Quite often I want to play back from a certain point in the score so naturally I click on the first note of a passage. Whatever the volume marking of the note in question, this clicking causes the note to play at f, or ff! It is very annoying!! Do other people find the same? Is it peculiar to MS4?

Yes, i find it too loud, too!
Maybe i take a look at GitHub, if this is mentioned there for a request. If not (which i can't imaging), i'll make one.
It's the same in MS3 so I have switched it off in Preferences > Note Input.
Selecting a note is not the same as playing a note in the score. I think most notation software plays a selected note at about mf, or so. and not what is in the score.

I would prefer that the selected note would sound at its midi velocity value, as per the inspector. I see no good reason why it should be played at some other volume but I guess that an option switch would be an easy solution.
There is a more serious glitch that I can't get round, namely when one selects a certain note in the score, and hits the playback arrow, it plays from the start of the score. Am I missing something. Surely it should play from the note selected? I have no start or finish set to the playback.

It does seem to be a glitch (at least in MS3) but I only see this happen when I have a range of measures selected and loop playback enabled. Clicking any note then play always jumps to the first note in the looped range.

I have no loop selected, no complications like that. It just starts at the beginning of the piece. This is MS4. I'm afraid I am constantly going back to MS3 to get decent playback.

You should report it as a bug so that it gets on the radar.
