Changes to how Master Palette functions

Hi, in MuseScore 4, it seems as if the Master Palette is functioning differently. First, I don't seem to be able to replace the simple palette with it. More importantly, though, when I add an element (say a grace note), I used to be able to key up or down to change the pitch. Now that moves elements in the master palette and I have to click back into the music. Can that be changed? It's a lot of extra steps this way.
