Keep same Layout when changing time signature
Right now in Musescore 5.1 if you customize the layout of a score, for example by using a custom number of bars per system, which is different for each system, in order to copy a piece of music and have the same layout than the original. If then you change time signature your entire custom layout is destroyed (even if your layout was locked)...In Sibelius or Dorico your custom layout is kept intact.
It's a huge issue for engravers because we need to work fast and most of the time we don't have bar numbers on every bar and sometimes we only have some rehearsal marks (no bar or page numbers at all) on the original manuscript that we have to engrave. And so having the same layout as the original during note entry help us visually to avoid being lost, and help us engrave faster. Once everything is copied we then decide if we need to change or improve the layout of the newly engraved score.
So, Is there any way of having the option in Musescore to keep the same layout when changing time signatures ? If not, I think it should be a feature request ! Because this is the kind of things that is crucial, and makes people chose Sibelius or Dorico rather than Musescore.

I'm very confused. You have a score that's in 4/4 and you want to change the last half to 3/4 ... and have MuS figure out where the system breaks, et al. are supposed to go??? When you change the time signature, all subsequent measures are changed. How is it supposed to keep a system break attached to a measure that no longer exists?
A composer or engraver should have changes at the level of time signatures completed before they even begin to think about layout.
