Change playback tempo
How do I adjust the tempo for the playback? It seems always set to a fast tempo. I used to know how to do this but have forgotten.

MuseScore's default tempo is 120 beats per minute.
If you want a different value, open the tempo palette and drag one of the tempo markers offered onto your first measure. The number can be changed. This is the tempo at which the score should be played by a musician. See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/tempo-markings
To change the playback tempo only temporarily, undock the playback toolbar and change the tempo slider.
