creating Tabs
I imported a PDF file of sheet music. Every time I select Bass (Tablature) it make the sheet blank. Im trying to convert my sons school song from sheet music to tabs. please help.

You need to provide a little bit more info of what you did and where it failed.
My assumption, based on your short description, is that you have a PDF of a "school song", which consists of one staff (but several systems, of course) of regular notes in treble clef with lyrics.
You then used the "import PDF" feature in MuseScore for this PDF, which was successful. The resulting MuseScore score lookes close enough to the PDF. Still regular notes in treble clef.
Then you attempted to convert this to bass tab. And this did not succeed.
Is the above a correct description of what you did so far?
First thing to notice is that bass is not a perfect match for children's school songs. You should expect to have to play very high up on the fret board, or transpose the song down at least one or two ocatves.
In the Part Properties you can change the instrument to Bass Tab (I guess, since I am using MuseScore 3). It says at the top of that page how to find and update this.
