Cannot Get appimage to work for 3.6 and 4.1
Hello Musescore People:
I use linux (Ubuntu 20.04) and downloaded Musescore 4 from https://musescore.org/en/download and also Musescore 3.6 from https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/releases?q=3.6.2
I moved both appimages to my desktop, checked that I owned it, and gave both executable (right click > properties > permissions > Allow executing as a file program
Then, I right clicked on the appimage and selected run as a program.
Then... nothing happened.
I followed this procedure for both 4 and 3.6
How can I make one or both of these appimages work, please?
Greatfully,
Trying Harder

I would suggest to have a look at the logfile (MuseScore 4)
~/.local/share/MuseScore/MuseScore4/logs
Or start the appimage from command line and read what happens.

Hi graffesmusic:
Thank you for your reply. I appreciate it.
I don't have any folder labled "local", or "share" or "Musescore" on my Ubuntu 22.04 system.
I tried each of these from the command line:
./MuseScore-3.6.2.548021370-x86_64.AppImage
./MuseScore-3.6.2.548021370-x86_64.AppImage --appimage-extract
./MuseScore-3.6.2.548021370-x86_64.AppImage
Nothing worked.
:-(
Thanks,
Old

So it is Ubuntu 22.04 and not 20.04
You must install libfuse2 then.
The local directory is hidden, so .local
Nothing worked you say, but you did have some errors surely.
AFAIR there was similar issue with an old version of Linux Mint which was solved by updating the OS.

I just installed the operating system yesterday.
I'll give this a try, anyway.
