Cannot create an eight note triplet in MuseScore 4
I am trying to create an 8th note triplet. I have spent an hour trying to do this both from the keyboard and through a MIDI keyboard. Measure is simple. quarter note rest, 8th note rest, eight note, 8th note triplet.
I enter the rests, followed by an eight note. Highlight the remaining quarter note rest. Type control+3 for eight note triplet. Key in the notes. UGH Muse score adds three sixteenth notes and a rest !!!!

MS has the last note duration (eighth) still set. If you had selected the quarter-note rest and just pressed a note key, it would have entered an eighth note STARTING at the beginning of the rest but not using the whole rest. Try the additional step of typing 5 then [Ctrl]-3. Pressing N to exit note entry mode also works as MS selects the whole rest then.
