Custom clef symbols (time signatures, note heads, …)
Good morning,
is it possible to use other than the preset clef symbols? I haven’t found a possibility yet so I used a workaround that feels really ugly:
- set the clef color to white
- move the clef to the background
- create a staff text
- move the staff text above the clef
I would like to be able to replace a clef symbol by
- a vector graphic
- an arbitrary symbol from an arbitrary font
- some text
Any opinions on that?
Cheers,
Malte

You can turn off clef visibility: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/clefs#visibility
For your alternative clefs, create each one in a graphics program and save as SVG with transparent background in your documents/musescore/images folder. As you use them you can drag them to a custom palette ready for future scores: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/palettes#add-palettes.
Once you have things to your satisfaction you can create custom templates.
